Which Camp Site near Barcelona? (1 Viewer)

We are hoping to visit Barcelona this March and wanted to know a good site that has a bus service/train service into the city. Once read about a site that had a free bus but cant remember name, in fact cant remember much anymore at all
so lets hear your favourite

July 2013 we stayed at Camp Masnou about 15km north of city but on a main line rail service to centre of Barcelona, for about €4.50pp. Camp rate €27.50 without EHU. Found it a rather tired sort of place, not particularly welcoming.

You could always try the quite frightful Forum "aire" on the outskirts of the city at a mind boggling €30 per night and "enjoy" The most disgusting facilities known to man.

A member recently posted details of a new aire in city at about €30 per night, looks not bad. See link below.

PS: If your timetable permits it...... make the journey out to Montserrat......... stunning with free parking below the town.

We stayed in Villanova and caught the bus in picks up right outside the gate about 30 minutes journey I think. Very nice site and Villanova is a nice little town with a great Farmers market. Can't remember the price but Google it you'll find it campingvillanova I think.

Hi Guys

We stayed at at Sitges , Camping El Garrofer

The site isnt the best but the bus stop to the centre of Barcelona is at the gate .

Sitges is a great town on the beach and is onle a 10 minute walk or 2 min on the bus away.

Its ideal for the city mini break

HAVE STAYED AT 3 ESTRELLES just south of the airport. Not a bad site for a week and only 15 mins on bus into Barcelona. BUSBY

coach into Barcelona

I agree with Pat. Garoffer park. We got a bus from there into Barcelona 3.75 and stop is just outside the gate. I loved Sitges. Cycled in along the prom most days. Booked a hotel in Barcelona and had an overnight stay there.
