Got a while to go, yet - so I am not in the slightest bit jealous. Much.

Enjoy and make the most of it.:thumb:

My wife retired from 38 years teaching today as well. She is still in the weepy stage missing the kids already, so it might take a while for her to adjust to the dark side..........

My one and only regret about retirement is that I couldn't afford to do it years ago :wine::wine::wine:

Congratulations on your retirement now life begins proper:thumb::thumb::thumb:

Our fourth glorious year!
Three years retired and having travelled so extensively am looking forward to a bit of a rest for a while at least. This retirement game can be so exhausting!
Soon you will find it impossible to believe that you worked all those hours and invested so much in what you did!Enjoy and don't look back......:thumb::Cool:

I retired 3years ago, like others I wish I could have afforded to have done it sooner, my wife retired in May this year and we did the last thing on our bucket list, a month in Alaska, heaven, now all we need to do is to explore Europe in the M/H, already booked Tenerife in February, Lake District in August and Rhodes in September, might fit in a Eurotour around May time.
Hard work this retirement lark, but somebody's got to do it. :thumb:

Many thanks for all the comments re retirement, i have tried several times, over recent years to retire from local Government, but they could`nt refuse on my last application.
Had great work mates but need more personal time for cleaning /polishing the van as weekends were not long enough.
now to sort out a 3 year plan.:thumb:

Think I will take the plunge this next year too.

I have my van inside in a lovely cosy shed and I am polishing her to death, I may not want to take her out and get her dirty !!

Hope it all "works" out for you, good luck
