Yes, I do mean TRUCKERS!
Husband has just passed his HGV theory test with a score of 95%, but one of the questions he didn't know the answer to was 'What do blue flashing lights in a tunnel mean'. I've googled this but can't seem to find an answer. Any truckers know the answer?

It can only mean take care there is a emergency vehicle in the tunnel.
There is no other reason for blue flashing lights .

So i think you are correct

But has I had my HGV since 1971 maybe I am to old to know for sure.

Tunnel

Hi, Many years ago while bringing a set of goalposts steel ones already made, on the back of a wagon I set off an alarm as I was going through the entrance to the mersey tunnel as the load was overheight for the tunnel lane so could that be the answer :winky:

Ditto, 71 for me as well but did not renew when I got to 65, medical is expensive and don't foresee driving trucks again.
Don't recall ever seeing blue lights in a tunnel, red lights in some areas of Bristol of course, and Manchester and Sheffield and Birmi................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................ but not blue?

I try not to think about my previous life, :winky: it puts me on edge. :ROFLMAO:

But I have seen this, and its when they are escorting hazarded loads through the tunnel.

So I would say when there is a hazard or emergency in the tunnel.

 Bob.
