I'm sure there's a previous thread on a fiat airbag warning light..
I do know though that these are actually restraint system warning lights and can be activated by faulty connections to the front seat belt connectors.. Or occupancy sensors.

since 2007, 25 years tuggin before that.
Look for wiring connections or damaged wires under the seat.
make sure the ignition is off or it can activate the airbag.
has it got a switch to dissable the passenger airbag? some do, some don't.

Can't find any loose wires and according to handbook there does not seem to be a way of turning it off.
Looks like I need to book it into Fiat

Don't know whether it's the same fault, but this happened on my car - turned out to be the air bag firing squib had gone duff - apparently it's very easy for a competent garage, with the relevant diagnostic equipment, to check and inform you exactly what is wrong.

Shouldn't cost a fortune either.

Do you actually have a passenger air bag? If so then what has happened by some means or other is it has been switched off ( a setting to allow a child seat to be used in safety on the front passenger seat). When its switched off there is a warning light to alert the driver to this fact. The de-activation of the passenger seat airbag has for a long time been done via a key switch, often located in the glove box.

Dave as to why it came on then that is a mystery :Eeek:

It does have a passenger airbag and yes it was that warning light but if you see my earlier post it is turned off/on by the mode button see. Photo attached

I read your post and understood it, I was simply trying to clarify for others that on many vehicles disarming the passenger airbag in order to use a child seat was done via a key switch often located in the glove box, I wasn't trying to say yours should be like this at all. I should have been clearer in my explanation:winky:.
