I don't know if this has been posted before but it is for information for all.
While travelling through Pickering, which for us is fairly regular, I happened to notice a sign high up in the window of Pickering Antiques Centre. This is on the A170 at the traffic lights where you would turn off to go to the North Yorks Moors Railway station.
The sign says "Motorhome parking at the rear of the centre".

I have never stayed there, so can't comment on good or bad, but there is a web site with any information that you are likely to need. It doesn't say it is an aire, but it doesn't say it isn't either. You pays your money and you makes your choices.

I will try and stay there soon and report back, unless any Funster has already done so and can give an opinion.

We haven't , but we've said the same when passing by it , after stopping at the back of the steam railway for the weekend. You try it out , then report back to us. Then we shall give it a go, if it's any good.:thumb:

Thanks for this information, sounds good........we got friendly with a couple of tuggers we met at Lower Wensleydale CC site and they live in Pickering and said we were welcome to stay on their drive. But you don't like to impose, so this might be an alternative, will wait to hear how you get on:thumb:

Its listed as a UK Aire and was £10 overnight or £5 per day parking last year. :thumb:

We stayed at this Aire last April overnight, has facilities but did not use them, good night stop over for Whitby for the night:thumb:
