Is it possible to build something that would give the impression of a sophisticated alarm system using flashing LED lights.
I have an alarm system – Cobra on the van but I was wondering if would be possible to have a box with some LED lights in a sort of sequence type of thing.

No, I am not technically minded and whatever anyone suggests it would have to be written for a complete dummy.

5 years, feel free to ask me about the Carado!!
another way of going at this.

Because most of my 10K miles has been in Europe I have fitted 3 Ebay reversing cameras around the van, (2 on permanently to provide a rear mirror & blind spot cover). However I have had a fair few people asking me are they van security cameras ?? The question is does your average tealeaf know what they are & would they put them off? :thumb:

Flashing L E D's

Maplins do a range of 12v flashing l e d units reasonably cheapo. I use them i series with any system switches when I need to be 'properly aware' that that system is on. Used on my boat, but also usefull on high discharge equipment on campers etc. If you only want a 'flesh', all you need to do is wire it the correct way around!:thumb:
