Hamish Macbeth is being re-run on ITV 3 !! I know it was filmed in Plockton and have just had a peep on Google Earth !:Cool:

Lo and behold there is a MH on the main car park !!:Cool:

Is overnighting permitted, and has anyone done so ?

We have West Highland Terrier, would that get us any parking Brownie points.

We have, go to the far end out the way of the cars, we even had a local come in for a drink, so quiet and peaceful. :thumb::thumb::thumb:

Overnighting used to be allowed. Unfortunately they don't even like us parking up during the day now

We went a few years ago in the MH after visiting several times by car, we were extremely disappointed by the attitude we found and couldn't even stop for lunch. There's a nice site just down the coast at Balmacara though.

It's a real shame about Plockton, such a lovely little village with great food and amazing scenery.

Thanks, we'll have to give it another try. I've just looked on Google maps and i see that they've changed the sign since we were there:

Nowt on that sign about motorhomes ! I parked up at Badachro right next to a no caravans sign and was warmly welcomed by The Badachro Inn ! Great food there, google it, it's on my list of stops every year now !:Cool::Cool::Cool:

We have stayed on the car park over night and been made welcome a couple of times no problem , the hotel in the village is used for toilets and has good wifi as well. I will send you a pm.
