Please can anyone give me a little information on Camping Eden. It was recommended to us a few weeks ago and that is where we were heading tomorrow. Reading the reviews today some say its not suitable for motorhomes because of trees etc. the people who recommended were in a motorhome but not as big as ours. 8.67 metres. Anyone Been there that could enlighten us. If not suitable any recommendations for elsewhere south of Sitges.

Thanks Lin.

Try Camping Ribamar at Alcossebre very close to Peniscola best site in area highly recommended www.campingribamar.com. Spotless site friendly staff only downside is unmade road about 1.5 miles from Alcossebre to site entrance.

Thank you so much for those suggestions. Something else to think about.

There are some large pitches on Eden but the site is very popular and quite often full, the large pitches have been when we have looked. Never stayed there as it is not our sort of site but is very convenient.

We were in Peniscola yesterday and there are sites open on the back road from Peniscola to Benicarlo, some motorhome parking areas as well, probably attached to sites but looked very full and not our cup of tea at all. The parking spot Hildweller mentioned is signposted off this road.

We have used Ribamar in the past with our 5'er, pitch size shouldn't be a problem and the access road is not too bad if you take it steady, cyclable with care.

Camping Playa Tropicana has large pitches that you'd just fit on lengthways, we struggled to get our 5'er on in the past, the corners are tight but the pitch big enough. You should be OK I have seen some tag axles on here, plenty of room at the moment. In the ACSI discount scheme and have a pensioners rate.

We wild (parked) just outside on a huge carpark but also spent a few nights at La Volta. It is a campsite run like an aire and cost us just 7 euros a night last year.

Turn north along the prom from Eden. You are forced to turn away from the front a few times eventually you will drive away from the sea and at a roundabout there is a large advertising hoarding about La Volta. The site is not much further. The main access is a tight turn but there were a fair number of Concorde types parked round the back. Access for them was through the normally locked second gate.
The couple who run it are really friendly. Some nights there is entertainment and the food is great and reasonaby priced.

Hi
We have just stayed there for 1week and really enjoyed it, when we arrived the site was 90%
full but has emptied out a little there are quite a few large motorhomes on there and they did not seem to have any trouble parking up. Peniscola is a lovely town and only a 10 minute walk from the site, the beach is only 100mts from the camp. All in all worth the visit
The only downside is the site shop is closed but the local bus sevice stops outside 2 supermarkets
Regards
Alan
