Looks like i need a new tyre, a slow puncture i had, turns out to be a tear on the sealing bead,
Looks like it was caused when the tyre was fitted around 7 months ago. (Found it because of Jim's Tyre flashers)

The issue i have is what tyres to fit?

The current ones are 215 70 r15 109/107, these are rated at 1030kg the rear axle is 2000kg so they do not have any safety margin.
I am looking to go to 112 load rating to do this i need to fit 225 70 r15, i have looked at the camping tyres and do not see the benefit of the extra cost.

Any one know were i can get camping tyres at a good price, the other one i am looking at is the Michelin agilis standard van tyre, also good price required for this.

Ummmmm.. So given the average price of fitting does that not work out a tiny bit more than Ehup has been quoted ?

Ummmmm .... So 2 x £124 fitted = £248 is a tiny bit more than £254 is it John. :winky: :ROFLMAO:

We looked at eTyres but while they were cheaper they were not a main brand. The £248 is for Continental Vanco Camper Tyres fitted at a garage of our choice about 2 miles away.

225/70 is 14mm taller than a 215/70 so will very slightly alter your final gear ratio and alter the speedo accuracy....not enough for concern though..

E Tyres a bit more expensive for the Michelins £144, they do not do the vanco camping tyres in 225 size.

Got the local ATS to price match my best price and they will be here tomorrow, which was important as we are heading north on Wednesday, for a few days, before our winter trip south next week.

Did you have them fitted at a garage? If so,, can you take it back and show them? They should come with some sort of warranty
