Hi all you 'scam busters'.......

Been looking on motorhome trader, and saw this and its near to what we are looking for, but at £ 25500 seems too cheap, is it a scam?

Tried ringing but no answer!!

Used the link but all it gave me was a list of 63 Autotrails.

I presume you mean the private sale 2008 model......

Within the list of 63, all the other 2007/8/9 models that are trade sales are approx. £10,000 more, and all the private sales are still thousands of pounds more.

If you go by the price £25,500 all the vans of a similar price are older.....

It's either a top bargain, a mistake (typo) or a scam....... if it seems too good to be true it probably is!

Nothing blatantly obvious but contact them and see if they want payment up front before they deliver
Make sure no money changing hands until you have van :thumb:also check no finance outstanding

Some traders drop the zero to make the vehicle come up higher in the search results, as most people go for 'lowest price first' - or that is what they think. Annoying practice that they have tried to clamp down on - pretty daft too, as if you are looking for something in that price range - it wouldn't come up!oh:

Do an HPI search on it (No. Plate is shown on the pictures)

Not sure if the cc is correct at 2287cc. Come on Auto Trail owners is that cc correct?

Trouble is with that, if you added the 0 back that would make it £255,000

That 'Short' ownership seems odd, I would follow it up but the layout isn't ideal for us and no rear seat belts, although the price is bang on our budget, but if its a true add then its a bargain for someone, thanks for all your comments

One possibility for such a short current ownership is that it was taken to pay off a debt for work done and the new owner now wants to sell it quickly to get the physical cash.

Could also explain why it appears good value.

If this is the case, it will be good value for someone.
