Hi, we are Vic & Hils and a dog called Poppy.
Sold up house, took early retirement and have been full-timing since 4th July 2013 - and we are LOVIN' IT!
Been round quite a bit of the UK saying farewell to family & friends before we head off to Europe. We have some more family & friends to visit in France & Spain before we head to Portugal for the winter. This is all very new to us so any hints, tips and advice greatly appreciated.
Couple of questions: -
1. How or who can you get full-time insurance with?
2. Do you recommend travel and pet insurance when abroad?
Look forward to hearing from some experts.
Vic & Hils

:Eeek:

I fulltime with Comfort and pay about a third of that. Still not cheap compared to non-fulltime insurance but not exorbitant either.

Hi,

Safeguard insure us for 365 days at £320. NfU are good for all other insurances full time.

Of course, if you don't have a UK address, then you run into problems.

Good luck with the trip. Happy to answer any questions

regards

Hello Vic, Hils and Poppy. Welcome to FUN ::bigsmile:

We are full time (no house) the only (I think) company that provide fulltime insurance are Comfort.
We paid £878 which includes breakdown cover across Europe.

We also travel with our dog and our Sainsburys pet insurance covers us abroad to a lower limit, but we have found that vet costs are a lot lower for the few things we have had done (just a visit for the passport)

Glad you are loving it! We do too and looking forward to another winter down south :thumb:

Any more info feel free to ask.
