When your typing on your iPad and the keyboard is visible you will see a key bottom row second left with a globe on it, enter this key and any amount of smilies and symbols will be available

From my I pad :moonpp5 seems to work, perhaps you are overworking that fishing rod of yours

Me too , I can only get the ones to the left from to
I can click onto the other page with all of them on, but they don't transfer to the post when I click on them , like they do with the laptop or computer.
I see no key on the ipad keyboard either. So your not alone.:Blush:

I had the same problem. Someone on here suggested accessing MHF via Safari instead of Google and it works!! :thumb: See!!

Definately access the site from Safari and all will be revealed.
If it doesn't work please blame Brisey as he told me to do it this way.

I have been having a fiddle and as long as I get rid of the key board then bring it back up it works.

:thumb: oh and the other thing sometimes you have to tap the smileys a couple of times to get them to work

Ok, if you can't see the globe on your keypad go to
Settings
General
Keyboards
Then ensure 'emoji' is enabled, that should bring up the globe key that accesses all the symbols:thumb:

That's the same for everyone I think. it just says Big Grin but comes out as
