Spoke yesterday to the guy`s who installed the Dish, Modem, Router,Squelch Box,ITM Module, and all the other bits to..

Photo below..

Going to talk me (The wife) through initiating it tomorrow, with the password...

Just got to ask him if it will run the puters indoors... if it does it wont cost much more than we are paying talk-talk now, if we cancel with them.. just not sure it will reach in doors from where we park the M/Home..

Got to be worth a try... :thumb:

Last time I looked, apart from being rather expensive (which obviously doesn't affect the aristocracy) the other downside was the slow speeds it offered.

Probably all different now though...

I think you're right about the price of such kit JJ, but looking on the bright side, Old Mo will be able to put th van on Autocruise and surf the net whilst en route. How posh is that?:thumb:

It`s got a "Router" in the cupboard with all the other elemtronics...

That`s why I was hoping some one else had the same set up.... and if I could save the cost of having to pay for the one at home..

Yes it is supposed to be Sky through the dish,,, Sky through the internet and Internet through the dish..

Ariwotsity, No.... just it was all fitted in when we bought the M/H... so just thought if we can get it up and running, will save using the O3 dongle.. :thumb:

Even with out the internet through the dish,, we cannot fathom out how to get SKY TV through the damn dish... So many little electric boxes and switches.. :Angry:

As you have probably guessed,,, I don't do electronics... :Blush:

To save you all the bother, I'll take the van off your hands and you can have mine. Its got a normal aerial and you just plug your tv in. No messy internet or other black boxes to worry about.

Errr... hang on a second I am just putting on my smarmy, smug face... right, done it...

I can do that with my Galaxy Note 2 without the cost a satellite internet connection and at speeds up to 21 mega bits per second...

€31 Euros per month unlimited usage with the first 15 gigabytes at full speed.

Not bad for a third world country hey?

I hope Sir Mo's system does all that he wants it to do and I am sure he (really Judy and Paul) will soon learn how it all works. :thumb:

sorry Mo no chance of you contacting previous owner for update on how they got on with the system. If all fails use the dish as a Wok and sell tea from the the old urn call this new venture meals on wheels.

I have been in contact with Conrad Anderson,,, the people who fitted it all and the air suspension...

And they are getting the guy who runs the internet through the dish to give me a bell tomorrow, and hopefully tell the wife how to initiate it..

He said it was easy..... easy for them that`s switched on a bit... :Sad:

Signed up to Satelite UK..... suppliers of the internet through the dish.... they emailed to say half hour and I can/will be online..

Goes out but nothing, tried re scanning the TV, no... phones the people up and they said I will have to re scan and gave me 25.8 east or summat like that...

Spent all after noon trying but as soon as the scan is finished it goes back to another number...

Dropped Dave newell a PM and hope he can help... sooner pay him and go to him than some weird place in the middle of Birmingham...

I/we cant sort it out..... bloody pooters....

Now give me a plastering trowel or few hundred tiles and I`ll plaster a room in a day or tile a bathroom in two...
