Sorry but I decided we'd keep our Rapido for at least ten years as having corrected everything that the factory did and improved everything they didn't it is now a perfect 24'3" 2 berth so not even another Rapido is a match never mind a Burstner :ROFLMAO:

No I am wrong Rapido bought Esterel in 1993

Great motorhome.

Rapido have said they will not export the esterel to Germany or the Beneluk.

Shame that very nice motorhomes

Or of course you could forget those cheap imitations of a proper motorhome and have a real one. .

WC Gas?

I confess to being intrigued. Why do you want to gas anyone using the toilet? :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

€300,000 it should be nice.

But it is

I said I could have spent a fortune in Dusseldorf.

The Frence sales girl was also nice on the RMB stand
But I only looked at the motorhome honest

I agree Mel, not only should they be nice, they should last for ever at that price. Well mine is now 23 years old and its looking like it will last for ever. What really amazes me is that RMB built everything into there vans 20 odd years ago that some builders are only thinking about doing now. Damp and de-lamination just don't exist in these things.

I hope the new one is to the same quality.

I think you are correct .

But its time all firms put a little more care into building there motorhomes.

I thought the new one would have been on a Merc chassis

Also yours is German not part built in Germany and then to France for the rest of the build.

Do the Pilote groupe care as much as the old RMB firm?

Mel

If the Pilote group care as much I cannot answer, but when it was the old RheisMobileBour they were built to a quality, not to a price. They are still custom built, but if they still have the skills and craftsmen that they used to have I don't know. Many of the old boatbuilding craftsmen have long gone and replaced with modern materials and techniques, whether they are as good only time will tell. The same goes with the RMB. I just hope that the new owners have not just bought a name, but have bought a tradition.

I take it you don't like Rapido's:Smile: forget Burstener's, Dethletts are far superior.......as said here already the best Rapido's are the ones the owners customise, the interior's of all Rapido's are quite solidly made which is an ideally base to customise..having said that I've yet to find one screw that has been installed by the Rapido manufacture

very simply really, when you start customising (if your doing that) and you actually might take out the drawer in the kitchen, you might then take out a wood screw only to find the the wood is split because the rapido technican was cross eye'd so he split the wood installing the screws..most of the plumbing within the kitchen will have been fitted with cheap hard plastics that dont flex at all under driving conditions..and it goes on.....:roflmto:

I have to say the plumbing is bad.
And to repair the pipe under the water heater you have to take out the oven.

Or fine a tecnition with arms that are 1mt long ang 20cm wide.

I found that man:ROFLMAO:

But I think all motorhomes could be beter for the price.
