Does anyone know where to get a Swiss hook adaptor that converts our blue connectors to the three pin Swiss one? I have needed one twice in a fortnight!

Wikipedia say Swiss sockets accepts a standard 2 pin Europlug, but its up to you if you want a EHU with no earth.

A Europlug looks like this:

It is earted by a third pin or via the side of the plug.

In my experience most swiss sites use the continental two pin hook up, earthed via the strip at the side. You can easily get an adapter between the 3 pin euro standard (always used in UK) and the 2 pin sockets common in Europe.

Other sites may offer adapters for loan or hire.

The 2 pin europlug is not intended for hook ups, not man enough.

We recently stopped outside Davos and didn't have this connector. The excellent French couple in the next motorhome lent us their spare adapter on seeing our dillema .
How nice eh.. Just didn't expect that sort of kindness (and they didn't speak English either)

We actually lent a couple a whole electric hook-up lead once (we always had 2, one short, one long) on a campsite near Paris, I think they were German and didn't have the right connector so we just let them borrow it until we left the site, we spoke no German, they spoke no English but we got there with hand signals! ::bigsmile: We've also let others borrow all sorts of stuff - you just have to trust people sometimes! :thumb:
