Well we are finally on our way home, unfortunately - if we had not booked and paid for Stratford we would have extended another month (we finally understand why motorhomes are such a good investment and a fantastic experience.)

Having spent a wonderful 5 weeks on the beach at Bon Repos, Santa Suzanna we cant wait to go back again in September! It doesn't seem possible that we have been away for 2 months.

Does anyone know of a good Aire/ overnight parking at Dunkerque, we are having the dogs vetted! at La Rochelle rather than spending 48 hours in Calais etc. so we will need a safe overnight on Friday.

As usual, any help or advice will be gratefully appreciated!

Hi G&M,

There's plenty of overnight parking in front of the Norfolk Line terminal building at Dunkerque. There's toilets/showers available the only downside it can be a bit noisy with truck movements.

We've stayed there a couple of times and found the Saturday night to be fairly quiet.::bigsmile:

You can say that again Keith !!!!!!!!! we love the whole experience, even the wind and occasional rain!!

We are staying in a lovely campsite just outside La Rochelle at the moment and it is one of the nicest we have used. VERY friendly family, they can't do enough for you, they have even booked the vets for us on Thursday! It is called Port Punay at Les Boucholeurs (camping-port-punay.com) There are quite a few British couples here who always seem to use this site before moving north to home, or south to Spain, and I can understand why. It is in a really pretty fishing village 150 metres from the sea with lovely walks along the coast.

How are you going on with the sale of the house?

Are you going to Stratford - I suppose it is quite a journey for you from Scotland.

Still waiting for that elusive buyer
Our new home is getting closer to being ready so crossed fingers we get a buyer soon.
We have someone wanting to buy but they have to sell first...... so we wait.

Cannot make it to Stratford, but going to Lincoln if we can afford the 'Liquid Gold' to get there :Eeek:
