Stayed overnight last night. 14 spaces and we were alone there. Aldi,Lidle and e Leclerc 5 minutes walk, town 10 to 15 minutes walk. Wide open pitches with grass area at side. Free wi fi. Free water and waste and toilet empty. We are 8.7 metres and just fitted on. When the shrubs grow a bit more would be difficult for over 8 metres. Camp site adjacent apparently 16 euros with acsi, but not free wi fi. Aire is 12 euros all hard standing. Give it a try.

It opened at the beginning of June, I used it but for the extra 4 euro's I prefer the main site with all the facilities and better security.

We looked at the main site but it was very crowded and mainly grass pitches, with evidence of people having had trouble getting out in the wet grass.

It can get very crowded as it's a very good stopping off point for the ferry or on your way down south.

just to pick up on a point after Chris picked up on the none free electricty...you say wifi is free on the aire ...but not on the campsite.....are you saying you have a free wifi code for the aire...or is it a unsecure site....if so you should be able to pick up the same wifi signal inside the camp..... unless the camp is in a faraday cage.....or... are you picking up a free SFR / FON signal..????? outside

There are 2 separate logins for wi wi. One is the site and you have to pay 3 euros per day. The other for the aire you register your e mail and they mail you a code free of charge. Obviously don't know if the e mail one is within campsite range. Someone who has stayed at the campsite may know but can't see it happening if they have the 3 euro charge per day. Mine lasted all day first day and was still working next day early afternoon as we left.

If your pitch in the campsite is close enough to the aire then yes you can get free wifi firm there. Just as I am doing now:thumb:

Could drive a little further towards Rouen to aire at Forges-les-Eaux. Never too crowded and electricity and water included for 6.53 Euros (don't ask why .53!)

We are currently on site next door to aire. The site costs the same as the aire but as younxay no free WiFi but instead younger toilets and showers etc nice little restaurant on the site. Basic but good when been out all day and cant be bothered to cook! Thought it looked a bit lonely on the aire!,

Just an update. This Aire is owned and developed by the people who own the adjacent St Claire campsite.

On our recent trip to France we stayed the first two nights on the campsite and very nice it was too. Basic but immaculately kept. With ACSI it was 12.20E per night including tourist tax. As others have said wifi was extra. Nice easy walk into town and also to LeClerc, Aldi and Lidl.

On the way back we decided to stop at the Aire and that too was very nice. Pitches are marked out with (newly planted) hedges. Each pitch has an area of hardstanding and an area of grass. They are wide enough to have the motorhome and the awning on the hardstanding and still have a nice strip pf grass. This cost 12E including water electricity and wifi. We decided to use this because easier to clean things (wife does that on last night) when on a hardstanding.

Up to you which you prefer. Both are very good. I suspect the Aire will get busy in the winter when the site is closed and also in the high season when the ACSI rate does not apply.

Echo everything everyone has said about the site and the aire. If your walking into the centre and lose the signs just head for the church steeple, it's right in the middle of town.
