Hi, My name is Dave, my wife and I have, (after much searching), bought a really solid Hymer Camp 64 TD. It does however need some interior tidying, which we intend to carry out over the winter. We have caravanned since the 70's, our last MH was a Commer Highwayman, many years ago!
The Hymer fits our bill nicely, and I will probably be chewing ears for information, ideas and guidance over the next few months, so beware!
We decided to go for an older MH, as we are both retired but very active, and will enjoy the refurbish.
Thanks for having us on board.

Thanks for the great welcome, great peeps!!:roflmto:

Paid me tenner, really feeling amongst friends here. Is this the right place to ask this, but can anyone explain how Hymer MH's are sorted?? There seems to be so many types, more so in the 90's. we have got a 'camp', coachbuilt by a firm in Padderborn, Germany. Were they made under contract? Were they custom built? How do they fit into the Hymer thing?? really lost on this. I had the idea that punching type into Google would bring up an explanation, but nothing. Lastly, can anyone recommend a UK insurance company that are OK with LHD?

Hello and Welcome to Motorhome Fun , most of the older Hymers are well built, and with some tlc you should get lots of fun from yours, use the search engine so much information to browse through.

For a insurance try Comfort, should be no problem with left hand drive.
