We have a weird "Oyster Dish"...

It does not have an ordinary LNB.... it`s got a big lump with various wires going to it, and spins round...

In the manuals it say`s we can pick up ordinary Sky TV.. and Sky through the internet... and Internet proper... it is all coupled to a router...

We have sorted Sky through the dish, and we think Sky through the internet...

How do you get internet through the "Dish"... ?

And do you have to pay some one for this privelage.... if so "Who"... ?:Doh:

Thanks..

If that is a full internet by sat its a very nice dish.

I can only tell you for over here
If we have this system you pay a provider in our case in the Neterlands.
You also get a Netherlands landline number for phone calls to and from the Motorhome.
Dont know what the cost is but a local dealer told me its is far to expensive.

I have seen it advertised in the UK but cant remember the name of the provider.

I think it was Conrad or something like that.

Sorry i cant me more help

If you're paying £10/week then you might not find the satellite option too expensive. It's probably worth asking the question as you already have the kit. There were some satellite internet packages for around £40pcm when I last enquired about it.

Thanks, Tonka.... Think I`ll stick to my little dongle...

At some of those prices, I could take out a contract for my mobile for less...

I saw £15.95 a month, you say you are paying £40 a month.

But the downside of satellite is you need a line of site to the satellite.
