thanks for all the replys we are currently in area of edinburgh and are on a slow drive up to the orkney islands, so any nice cheap campsites anywhere on way up. yes we will wild camp as well but would like hot shower now and again. sorry new to motorhome fun....

If you want the best showers in Scotland you'll have to pay a bit and visit the Grantown on Spey campsite.

Good and cheap for Olde Fartes, Aberdeen Council's Alford - Haughton Caravan Park. Problem: it's under new management, bet prices have gone up.

Hi again are you members of any club such as caravan club or caravan and camping club as the have loads of small sites called cl and cs, mainly on farms and range from no facilities to the best you will see.

There is a really nice one just past Leven with stunning views and nice clean showers, also have you thought about using local lesuire centres such as swimming pools so if you wild camp you can get a nice shower for a couple of pound.

This was our "wild" spot on the shores of Loch Rannoch this Easter.
