Hi all,

Our van has Pirelli Chronos 225/70/r15c 112/110s tyres on her,
the ride, braking is fine but tyre walls are starting to signs of age.

I have tried e'tyres, ATS, National, nobody seems to do this size.

can I change to 225/65 or 225/70 without issues? and can anyone
recommend somewhere in West Devon for replacements please.

Cheers

PM BrianJoJosh he is a tyre specialist and will very soon tell you whether that size is available in the UK and if not what size is best to substitute for it - then if you cannot get them locally he would be able to ship them to you for local fitting

as Landy said, Brian will source the tyres if he doesn't stock them and ship to a fitter of your choice near you.

He is based in Oswestry, Shropshire and is highly recommended by many American RV owners.....and we do use some odd sizes

Changing the profile from 70 to 65 will alter the rolling radius making your speedo read fast and could also affect any insurance accident claim if you don't tell them of the change.

225 70 R15 with a load index of 110/112 is a very common van tyre size. For example, it was fitted to all 31X Sprinters from around 2000 to 2005. It is the size our motorhome takes and I have found many sources on browsing the internet. Any tyre supplier worth their salt should be able to get them for you. My last set came from KwikFit but I shall probably use a local private fitter next time and I know they can get them.

Here is an example from Black Circles - they list many other brands at this size:

We get our tyres from here, really good service, they have all sorts of vehicles here, worth a call even if the tyre gets posted to you and fitted locally.

Confused, not only is 225/70R15 a very common size, but you are considering swapping them to exactly the same size again. Did you get the original correct?

rRdgeway Tyres at the Ridgeway Plympton Plymouth are excellent But you will need to call them first to see if they can procure the tyres you need. Great service and at a very competitive price. I use them all the time
