Now if I am in a bar in Portugal (or anywhere else for that matter) and it was announced that the bingo was about to start I will have a justifiable excuse for legging it.

Simple answer above. She knew the law and broke it.

She may well have known the law. However what about others in the bar who were also fined and given a suspended prison sentence for watching people playing Bingo.

The Bingo players and watchers who were probably unaware they were breaking the law now have a criminal record which they will have to disclose if asked.

It's a bit sad though when asked "what were you done for, having a dink in a bar watching bingo or not watching" the word will spread and people will not feel safe going there on holiday and go elseware.

Should stay here and vote all these loosers out get our country back, cement the channel tunnels up, in the end the top and bottom is they do not want us there like we dont want them. (my thoughts before the shells start flying).
