Greetings everyone.
As the title says we are absolute newbies. Never camped, never had a caravan and never even hired a motorhome!

I have patiently been reading posts and sucking up people's experiences and knowledge for some time now and as I have no useful contribution to make to the numerous threads I thought the least I could do was to subscribe in return

Our only daughter will be off to university next year so then it will be time to do some extended touring in Europe and hence the interest in motor homing.

We would like to get one long before then so I can practice in the relative peace and quiet of Ireland

I strongly suspect that the theoretical knowledge I have gained so far from this forum has saved me a fortune in avoiding expensive mistakes.

Hello and welcome to fun, you seem to have done it right so much information on here from experienced motorhomers, the odd daft answer but that's all part of fun any more questions that pop up just ask someone has usually been there and done it before.

I always think its nice when people respect the hard work Jim has put in getting this forum where it is and join in paying there subs. :flyingwelcome:

Gerry though I am originally from England I have to agree and say that Bangor is quite a nice place. I walk my dog on a beach in the morning that has a small car park which is used for wild camping. It's where I check out the various models of motor home, from a distance of course

Hi and welcome,I joined MHF a year before buying a motorhome,read avidly,and then bought
3yrs later I am writing this from Esjberg in Denmark,we have just spent a week touring here and will now head back slowly.
When I joined MHF I never dreamt that we would travel much further than France-but we spent 4 mths in Spain over Xmas and New yr 2012-2013
We will be home for Shrewsbury show-where we will meet up with Funsters we have met before,and some we havn't.
It sounds like a cliché,but it really is the best £10 we have spent :thumb:
