Very proud of my nephew who has put a labour of love into [ame="http://vimeo.com/68071838"]this video[/ame] of his (adopted) home town.

I hope you don't mind me sharing it.

Fantastic, just wait for the snide comments of cars on bricks etc! The city is indeed something to be proud of,it looks almost continental. Liverpool has more listed buildings than anywhere else in the country as well as the river front being a World Heritage Site.
The commentators should visit before they open their mouths.
Has your very talented Nephew suggested the tourism office use it?

He has very excitedly reported on FB that Visit Britain has tweeted it to their 140,000 followers! So the answer to your last question has to be "Yes".

As regards the naysayers, we are quite thick skinned, aren't we. Take it on the chin and laugh it off!

i am going to Liverpool for my niece's wedding on the 4th of August.

Staying at the Hilton Hotel because that is where she is getting married.

I checked for secure parking nearby as I wanted the wheels intact for our journey home.:roflmto:

So found parking with CCTV close by.

I was thinking of driving hubby's sit up and beg car, but just couldn't do it, :Eeek:

I prefer to take a chance and drive my nice Mercedes sport.

Have you got wheel hub/ wheel replacement on your insurance?

Some policies exclude the LV 1 - 2000 postcodes

If you are driving a flash motor just park it a bit south towards L8 it will be safe especially if it is a Merc or Beemer, they will think it is a drug dealers wheels and may 'touch' you for a 'wrap'.
Living on Merseyside has a major advantage that within 2 hours we cna have our vans in the heart of the Lake or Peak District, and Snowdonia in the same time it takes to get through the M25!

Am now an adopted scouse and am loving it. I have always lived in the sticks and never thought for a second I would enjoy living in a city. Liverpool is a fantastic place with always something going on. Only last weekend we had the tall ships here. The giant puppets last year were a sight I will never forget. After London Liverpool has the fastest growing economy in Britain, so I suppose considering that the London economy is a false economy Liverpool must be number one. Best of all there are bargains to be had on every street corner :ROFLMAO:.

I don't think so, just a project, a labour of love, a learning tool.

Brilliant bit of video, but to be honest it's not too hard to show Liverpool off in a great light nowadays, the City is buzzing, on the back of City of culture (which was well deserved) the City has continued to grow, jibes about losing the wheels off your motor apply to any City or large Town outskirts, LIVERPOOL City centre is acknowledged as one of the safest in the country, nice to see in the video the sun was shining, just 40 miles up the ship canal in Manchester it was pissing down:roflmto:

Excellent video - I particularly like those slow tracking but speeded up sequences. Must have taken some planning. Was it a student assignment or just something he chose to do?

Sorry being slow in replying but currently in France. No not a student assignment just a labour of love. This has lead to local radio and press interviews and I hope it leads to a commissioned project.

Brilliant Steve, a real talent in the making.

Where not to visit in your car ... Link Removed , and Liverpool does not appear in the top ten and has not for some years.

A quick search also showed the most stolen vehicle nationally was a Ford Transit van.

As was said earlier, Liverpool is normally very safe for visitors.:thumb::thumb::thumb:

Born and bred in Knotty Ash, but many hears since I've lived in Liverpool.
Really excellent little film, which can only encourage those who haven't to visit. Very professional.....:thumb:..... though I must say it might have been better still with a suitable Beatles track.

Just arrived in Liverpool visiting my son who has moved here for work. Has an awsome apartment overlooking the pier head and the river. Wonderful. Sure my accent will get thicker again while I'm here :ROFLMAO:

Brilliant piece of work. Not a city I know but we did spend a very interesting day down on the waterfront in and around the Maritime Museum when AS did our air suspension, very impressed with the city and plan to spend some more time there, apart from the footie it beats Manchester. :roflmto:

I am going back home to the Pool in 3 weeks time to go to my Nieces wedding. Really looking forward to it.

She's getting married at the Hilton Hotel so unfortunately not taking motorhome:cry:

Would like to stay a bit longer so may spend some time at my sister's place.
