Mirrors.................again (1 Viewer)

Whilst touring the top of Scotland, at Reay, another motorhome came towards us, when I wave I do so by keeping my hands on the wheel, the other guy took his hand right off the wheel and swerved making our two mirrors kiss, broke the indicator lens and cracked the casing, well my learned friends, where can I get another lens from, and are those protecter any good ???.

I would guess that depends on the make and model of the mirrors, we were lucky as ours are standard truck mirrors and replacements a few quid each but some others ooooooooooooooooooooooooh no change from a few hundred quid, I do hope that does not include yours Ray

White Van man in a big hurry, took my left wing mirror off completely. Luckily we were near Nevers and there was a garage there that could source and fix on a new one.
Cost 206 E and as excess was £200 didn't claim.
However we did inform Comfort (who were excellent) just in case they put in a claim and so we now have TWO accidents to report when changing any insurance and one was not our fault!!

I know the feeling Ray.

There I was, touring the top of Scotland when I saw another funster coming the other way in a Kon tiki. I was that excited at seeing such a great van that I took me hands off the wheel to wave to him. Then, the idiot kept his hands in his wheel and hit my wing mirror. Mines ok but I think he cracked his indicator lense and the outer casing on his. :Cool:

Phew, looks like I got away with it though, :thumb:
