New to motor homing..
Looking in the Gas cupboard of my newly acquired van there are two bottles and what looks like a mixer valve - see pic. However I don't have a clue what the knob does and how I should use it.

Any advise gratefully received

thats a changeover valve/regulator.

when one bottle is empty it automatically changes over to the full bottle....providing the full bottles tap is open.
leave both bottle taps open when in use.

needs regular visual check as you may run out of gas in both bottles without realising.

sorry, that may be a manual changeover valve.
when the first bottle is empty just turn the knob 180 deg the other way.

save grovelling around in the dark swapping bottles at midnight..

read my post again...i edited it

I turned it 180 to the right and 90 (12 o'clock) the burner kept on burning.

I will leave it hard left and see what happens.

Probably get both bottles full first though :)

Thanks again
