My wife has always wanted to see the Gower so last year we went to the CC site at Gowerton, what a disaster, the weather was foul and we didn't get to see anything at all, we went back again last week and rented a cottage at Rhosilli, what a contrast, the weather we've just had was obviously a big plus factor but the scenery around there was absolutely stunning, go to the car park in Rhosilli and you can look down over the beach, watch the Paragliders jumping off the mountainside, or if your fit enough walk down and onto Worms head, if your in that neck of the woods it's not to be missed:thumb::thumb:

Lovely area as long as you avoid Mumbles.

For some reason I hate that place.

I went to a hotel in Mumbles many years ago.

It really was Faulty Towers.

I was in the bar having a beer with the owner ( who suffered from a breathing problem ) and the chef who had clearly been drinking all day.

Owner and chef fell out and had an enormous row at which point the chef collapsed on the floor complaining of an angina attack. This in turn set the owner off with a coughing fit.

Ambulance carted them both off.

We went hungry:Sad:

It isn't the most pleasant place to be on a Saturday night at kick out time.

Yea I agree. Students flock to Mumbles on a Saturday night and behave like, well, students. Don't you just hate other peoples' kids.

But when its just us wrinklys its smashing (do people still say smashing?)

We stayed at the CL at Mewslade. One of the most beautiful sights I have seen looking down to the beach. ::bigsmile:
