I have been advised by my dealer to invest in a Cat Converter clamp to deter thieves. After many calls I have found a Ford garage who will fit one for £255 to my new Ducato. This is due to some vans on our storage area getting their cats stolen.
What exactly am I getting for my £255 ,has anyone experienced this problem and does anyone know who fits them .I live in Essex.
Thanks

Deter is the operative word, prevent is in my opinion still on the wish list
One of the better ones shown in pic
Without it fitted and a rechargeable grinder your Cat will be gone in under two mins.
With it fitted your cat and your clamp will be gone in 2.5 mins:Doh:

If your thief cant afford a grinder he will find someone else's Cat to steal
How much better do you feel contributing to someone else's loss:RollEyes:
Its Dog eat Dog out there aint it:cry:

If you know someone that can weld, a dab of weld on the nuts would be cheaper, need a grinder to get off. Same difference .

If I understand it correctly and memory serves. The thieves use an angle grinder and just chop the pipe front and back of the cat anyway...

We just remove all ours from the open forecourt, if we welded them and then had them cut off by theives it would mean buying a complete system !
