For any of you that are thinking of going to Spain and want to keep in touch with the UK, this is a must. Its called Lebara and its a free sim and on payment of 15 Euros you get this.
Lebara to Lebara mobile...Free.
Spanish Landline...0.01 cents per minute.
Spain to a UK Landline ...0.05 cents per minute plus 0.30 cents connection fee.
Spain to a UK mobile...0.15 cents per minute plus 0.30 cents connection fee.

You can get it on line at WWW.lebara.es.

We got it on arrival in Benidorm from the indoor market 30 days ago and there is still 7 Euros left on the thing after many calls to the UK.

receiving a call is 7p which is great

This is lebara uk not lebara es.

Lebara in Spain is not roaming if using a Lebara Spanish sim.

The rates quoted in Snowbirds posts are decimals of a euro not cents. ie connection charge is €0.30 or 30 cents, not 0.30 cents.

Excuse me but please can you show me where I have "thrown my dummy out ya pram" as you so eloquently put it.
I have done what any funster would do, or should do, and that is pass on information that may be of interest and help to other funsters. If you chose not to believe what information I pass on, that is your prerogative.
If your sole purpose in life is to follow me around this forum trying to be a clever dick you have failed miserably, so if this is the case please let me know so that I can block your posts and get on with informing funsters that do want to know something that may help or quite possibly be of use to them.

I am not saying Lebara is good or bad...but I spend lots of time in Spain and the UK and find Toggle mobile is good for me in both countries. Might be worth looking at there website as well.

Live in Spain and have used lebara for some time now and find the costs compare favourably with other suppliers. If interested can also buy 500mb internet pass valid for 30 days... cost€5 renewable monthly if needed.

Thought I had better throw this one in just to muddy the waters

As you know I got one of those cards from the guy in the market 3 days ago. I have made 4 short calls and have just got a txt to say I need to top up as I have got 50 cents left. If I was still in Benidorm I would be making a call back to the market for a bit of a discussion.

Never mind ate at Scallops in Javea last night (they are giving double breakfast vouchers at the moment) ate a good breakfast todayoh: and oh yes the sun shines daily and I have cold beer. :thumb:

Hi Malcolm, How strange. I cannot understand that, but will try and nip down the indoor market today and have a word with him to see what is wrong. Cant promise as its Home from Home fish and chips day and with beer at 80 cents a pint it could all go wrong oh:. My original credit is still going strong and was on the phone again to the UK last night. Am just wondering if that premium rate call you made had something to do with it ???. By the way hows the Spartamet.

Thanks for getting the guy from the market to ring me. I had used my credit calling Car Glass to see if I could get my windscreen fixed. The number on their website is a premium rate one.

I had already called my own insurance company SAGA via their switchboard (not an 0845 number) who advised they did not have any arrangements to have windscreens repaired in Spain .
So I called Car Glass. I visited them today and am well fed up. :Sad: I was told they could TRY to repair it but this could itself cause the windscreen to break. For them to attempt the job with no guarantee of success would cost over 100 euros and if the screen broke it would be down to me to pay for a new one. :Angry: So far I have not decided on the best way to go with this.

I will post separately about this.
