My new VW T5 campervan has Hanccok 205/65 R16 tyres. I have tried, without success, to find the pressures required for a range of wheel loads.

Can anyone help?

any idea of your axle weights in holiday trim or your maximum axle weights would be a starting point.

you will find the max axle weights on the VIN plate under the bonnet

Mine is new VW campervan (March 2013) originally plated at 3000 kg but dowplated by Bilbos to 2800 kg.

Due to the bad weather and illness i have not yet found the time to visit our very local weight station.

I don't know the answer, but why would Bilbo's pay out to have the weight downplated by 200kg. I can't see any benefit.:Eeek:

That's a good point.

Bibo's Stage II Plate quotes 2800 kg, the V5C quotes 2800 kg but the origional spec offered by Bilbo's stated that the base vehicle was low-lie 3000 kg campervan version of the T5 suppied by VW to official converters.

Bilbo's Stage II plate 2800/5300/1550/1500

No where can I find the original VW plate to see what it says. Hopefully I will find it one day.

Perhaps it's in the glove box, I look next time I'm in the van.

The tyres are Hankkok Outside Radials, 206/65R16C 103/101T

The quoted tyre pressure on the door pillar for one person, lightly loaded/fully loaded are:

Front 58/60 psi
Rear 50/60 psi

Unfortunately Hankook have failed to reply to two requests.

Hi Oldon,
I changed my tyres from Mich. to Hankook early this year, best move ever, van runs a dream on these tyres, just like driving a car.
My garage fitting dept. sorted the pressure's with a 'on-line' Ref.
Normal loading 2 up with water etc, because of the Air Rides they suggest
60 front 62 rear, they work a treat, smooth as a babies 'bum'
Best Regards Mac
ps. I understand they are a Japan company making the tyres in two far east locations.
