Levelling a motorhome (1 Viewer)

Daft question, what part of the van do you level to?
Worktop?
Fridge?
Bed?
Table?

If you fridge, worktop and table aren't level with each other you've got a problem!

I use my worktop normally, just going by eye, not with a spirit level, basically so long as the pans don't slide off the cooker I'm happy! :thumb:

Floor, next to the hydraulic jack controls using a small two way plastic level.

the system has its own levelling aid but is off true and i cant be bothered to get underneath and adjust the remote sensor....:Blush:

on the Kontiki i used the same level on the kitchen worktop.

Unlock it then turn on spirit level

If its close that'll do

Or a bias to the rear

Makes it easier to find the toilet in the dark

Our camper is always level, it's just the ground underneath that sometimes isn't.

Floor: simply because it saves me getting up and and down the steps again to put it on the work top.

Having said that I only level if we are staying put for 2 nights or more (not often)

When water drains out of both kitchen and bathroom sinks then I know it will also drain out of the shower, and its level enough!

That is if we bother at all.

Worktop, if only to stop my wine spilling when I pour it.

Why won't MH manufacturers make ALL sinks and showers with two drains, diagonally opposite from each other, as standard ?
No matter how level you think you are there is always water that won't drain and you have to chase it round with a cloth. Me, bent over in the shower, trying to persuade the water to run away, is not a pretty sight to behold.

i always use the fridge door method,if it doesn't fly open or slam shut, but stays where you put it,your pretty much level

Put some Jameson's whiskey in a glass, top up with Pepsi (I know, I know I've had stick all weekend at Chester) put the glass on the table and check the level.

Ps this only works properly for the first couple of glasses, but keep trying with a fresh glass after each attempt to use your ramps. The good thing with this method is: after a couple of glasses you don't really notice or care. Lol
