Sign of a misspent youth .. so they say.. but if you enjoy a game on a real table you MAY just enjoy this FREE PC game..

Forget the old 2D games of the 90s.. this is full 3D and it is very realistic.. and challlenging.

You can play on your PC and practice till your hearts content.. then when you feel like playing another you can go on-line and get thrashed..

You will need to register, but it's only an email addy..

You can also play Chess, Checkers and Backgammon

I forgot to mention, ... Funsters could play each other..

One opens a table and the another challenges .. the player who opens a table can either accept or decline the challenge..

use your Funster user names for easy identification.. you can also chat during the game..

indeed, it's not easy.. to get some practice I've been playing Jan off-line,

I tried one game on line and got a thrashing .. scared to go back

You can also play Pool on Pogo and compete in various leagues.There are rankings you can also achieve and there are 'Aimers' (or Cheats) you can download.

One thing I found about Pool-it's addictive
Your post got me thinking about it again-went to pogo.com where even after 2 yrs away I still have my Masters rating -it's so tempting

Just played a few practice games-bit disappointed that the spin control isnt very effective-I couldnt get white to come back to me-or is there a knack to it lol

Hope this is just a coincidence,but,this morn whilst practicing pool and trying to get to grips with the controls my screen suddenly went very dark and froze:Angry:

In the end I had to use System Restore to get it working again.
Not sure wether to put 8Ball back on again.

I've been using for some time with no problems..

but do understand your concern.. maybe you have another problem and it was just as you say a coincidence

just had a quick Google ..and there are others who say it freezes :Sad:

Never had it freeze on me and trust me I've put some hours in on the pool and snooker tables but I've had to drive down to the chalet to do more decorating: gonna have to wait till sunday night now before getting my own back on the chicargo bloke who fluked the black ball and refused a rematch, Thanks to Jimscotland for a great game and hope to play you soon.:
