Hi, cant help with campsites on the Mossel, done the Mossel many times and always stay on the stellplatz, you fall over them along the Mossel, the campsites always look tired and the river front pitches always have caravans on that very rarely have anyone using them.

I would say if you want to get the most out of it, stay on the stellplatz and most are very much like a campsite and less like a car park.::bigsmile:

We like the fact you can cycle one side cross over the river and come back the other side.

One of the places not to missed is Bernkastel-Kues, motorhome parking the other side of the bridge, and a vets near the parking if you have a dog cost us €8. :thumb:

Enjoy Germany we will be back again this year mid August/ October. :thumb: Bob and Jane.

Hi Bob/Jane

We are hoping to use stellaplatz this year on route to Italy, do you have the co-ordinates for Bernkastel-Kues please, also the name and address (co-ords) of the vet there as well please, any other recommendations for Germany stellaplatz??
Thanks
Val

Hi Bob and Val, sorry cant help with the co-ordinates as we are in Spain until may and our bord atlas is at home. Last year there was only motorhome parking but they started marking bays so it might be that they allow overnight parking. From the parking head towards the bridge and its half way along on the left.

Vets. http://www.tierarztmarks.de/

The vet speaks english, and told us no need to book, we went on a Saturday morning and the place was full, he came out and took us straight in explaining that it will not take long to the others and charged €8 and said thankyou for your custom and I know I'm cheap. :winky::ROFLMAO: Bob.

GPS: N 49° 44’ 25” E 06° 37’ 28”

Please check this is just outside the town only a few min walk.

Always very busy all year.

But a great place to visit.

If it is full there are many places not too far away.

We stayed on a campsite on the other side of the river from Cochem last year, I have to agree that the sites are a bit tired to say the least, EHU a cables all rerunning across the road to the junction boxes, we enjoyed the stellplatzes much more. Each to his own though.
