Changing frequency signal on Sky? (1 Viewer)

Hi, I have just looked at my notes for changing the frequency signal on the sky box when we are in Spain. Can anyone remind me how to get into the 'hidden menu' so I can change from normal 11.954 to 12.129??

Any help is much appreciated.

"services" (2nd from right under SKY button)

Bingo..... you re in the installer menu....:thumb::thumb:

Services-System Setup(4 on touchpad)-type 001 press select on sky keypad-default transponder-press select.........bingo

Right, when I press Services then 4 it takes me to "Box Office by Start time!"!

I have tried holding services down and nothing happens, is it a woman thing, or am I doing something wrong?

I have just 'searched' for the original post and found:
Old method:
Installer setup - Not listed on the Sky Guide Menu
To access the Installer setup, do the following:
1 Press Services on your Sky remote.
2 Press 4 (System Setup).
3 Press 0
4 Press 1
5 Press Select

New Method:
1 Press Services on your Sky remote.
2 Press 0
3 Press 0
4 Press 1
5 Press Select

Handy to be armed with this information before pitching up overseas or you might find you cant access the secret menu to change the default transponder.

I was using the New method, but had forgotten to write down 'select' !!

It works a treat now, thanks for your help.

Standard Defintion Sky boxes:

To access the Installer setup, do the following:
1 Press Services on your Sky remote.
2 Press 4 (System Setup).
3 Press 0
4 Press 1
5 Press Select

High Defintion Sky boxes:
To access the Installer setup, do the following:
1 Press Services on your Sky remote.
2 Press 0
3 Press 0
4 Press 1
5 Press Select

Changing it to 12129 will not help or do anything.
The single channel on 12129 (which was S4C) left that frequency back in May 2012.
then 12129 v 27.5 2/3 was the reconfigured for HD transmissions - and became 12129 v 29500 2/3 which you cannot input or use on a sky box as 29500 is not an available option for the symbol rate on Sky boxes.
then 12129 carried 4 BBC HD Olympic streams
And since that finished, the frequency has not carried ANY channels or SKy information at all - so pointless in using it.

11954 H is also pointless, as that too is a "null frequency" - it did carry BBC radio channels, but no more.

But you can use many other frequencies to help boot up a sky box - popular ones are:
12207 v 27.5 2/3 - it carries sky news so it should be an easy catch.
12051 v 27.5 2/3 - carries Turner channels.
