We are thinking of spending Fri/Sat/Sun in the North of England looking for a replacement Motorhome - has anyone any suggestions for Dealers to visit? Thinking of Nottingham on Friday then Yorks/Lancs Saturday/Sunday.

Try Cleveland Motorhomes at Durham Tees Valley Airport

http://www.clevelandmotorhomes.co.uk/

I have no idea if they are good dealers or not, I've only had the habitation door repaired by them, they did a good job though. They seem to have a good stock of used MHs in most if not all price brackets.

We bought ours from Edgehill Motorhomes in Mansfield Woodhouse - a family business that specialises in Hymer (often nearly new imported from Germany). Our buying experience was very good.

Have you looked at Peter Hambilton's website to see if he has anything that interests you? There are a 'Sales' and 'Private Sales' (i.e. commission-based) sections. Peter is primarily a service and repair specialist and is not open on Fridays or at the weekend - based just south of Preston.

Why go North if you dont mind me asking?

You are in Sussex so if I were buying I would stick to the South.

They are strange up North anyway.::bigsmile:

Agree with previous posters comments about the two big East Mids dealers.

Edgehill Motorhomes seem very good if you want a LHD Hymer. :thumb:
However its probably as easy, and probably cheaper to import a LHD Hymer yourself from

which is where a lot of Edgehills Motorhomes come from.

We bought our current van from Camper NE in Birtley, which is a branch of Camper UK near Lincoln. We found the company to be very good both before and after the sale.

I would second that Camper UK are very reputable but whats wrong with East Sussex? Battle Road(A21)Robertsbridge East Sussex :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

No, Newcastle is in the North East . The Lincoln & Peterborough shows aren't described as being in the North East so how can Nottingham be?

No, the true north starts when you get above Manchester.
