The wind has dropped at last-we were able to do some birding today.
Sardinian warbler,Stonechat,water pippit,Hoopoe,pair of Marsh harriers,Purple Gallenule !!
Black winged Stilt.
Quite a good day ::bigsmile:

Spotted Eagles at El Hondo

If you are serious birders you may be interested to know of El Hondo, near Torrevieja where, at the moment, you may see Great Spotted Eagles. Maybe you are already aware of this place. Tonn is one of the eagles and has a tracker unit fitted. He summers in Estonia and winters at El Hondo. Check out the website below.

Actually it's nearer to Marjal-that's where we were today ::bigsmile:
As we left,in a hurry to get to Long's bar for a prebooked lunch,we had a long range raptor sighting of a very large bird-we hesitated to identify as an eagle,but now having looked at Finesystem it could well have been-we will go back tomorrow. :Smile:
