perhaps ill buy a dressing gown and slippers :thumb::Cool:

Thing is mrs t likes her pad 1 but the artheritis is making holding it harder

Since handling the mini pad it is a lot lighter and just a little smaller

Which would make life easier

As she is not a techie by any stretch (she gets wound using sky hd)
The mini pad is ideal for her needs
Just have to wait till after Christmas

Just thought a thread on what we didn't buy and a reason could be amusing

I feel yer pain ! I looked at the mini a few weeks ago and compared to the bigger Ipad it is a delight to hold.

I can't believe I am gonna say this............................but the Samsung Galaxy 7 in is quite nice too

Even the Blackberry Playbook (bargain!)

I think what matters most is what you want to do with it..................even as an apple user I have to agree that unless you want 'all the apps' then other tablets are available :Blush::Blush:

I got the mini 16gb from John Lewis on line, you've got to keep your eye open for when they become available, I spotted it at 8pm on Tues night, it said more than 10 available, by the time I'd completed my online order they were out of stock again, I did click and collect and picked it up Thurs afternoon, it is a pleasure to hold. Sales rep told me Apple is the only product they sell that they have no control over what they receive, they just order an amount and they have no idea what they are receiving until the container is opened and they read the manifest.
What he did tell me is they have committed to purchase all of Comets order, Comet will not receive any of their Apple orders because they have been asked to pay up front and they can't.

Trouble is we are talking

Super non techie

Questions like where is the @ still fly

I still grimace at the thought of her returning to an m/s puter

Mac book is just about bearable

When the Lappy came out

Tuppence ( our little avatar dog) used to tremble and the air went blue

So unfortunately it'll be an apple mini as she has the I pad 1 and can
Meek it see life her way

Thanks for the advice folks

Probably after christmass now though

May keep an eye on J Lewis though:thumb:

Try GoodReader, Evernote and Dropbox for the iPad. I use them on my Ipod and they make file transfer easy and GoodReader will read any Microsoft document

You are incorrect about the photo's tho, you can import direct onto another computer.

I will have a look at YouTube.

We get the pods from Amazon.

The latte, cappuccino and hot chocolate are really nice I think.:thumb:
