Hi I wonder if anyone has a tom tom 910 that might have a good main board in it, maybe you damaged the screen or dropped it and damaged the hard drive.
I managed to fry my main board by plugging in the wrong power lead and shoving 19v up it,
they don't like it up em Mr Mainwaring sir.
So any non working 910's out there I can scavenge bits from????
I am loathe to get another satnav took me long enough to get used to this one.

neither got the eyes or a steady hand for surface mount Brian, wish I did. I sent it to a satnav repair company after expaining over the phone what had happened, they quoted for a replacement board then when the received it said it could not be repaired, pushed to explain they said we have no replacement boards. so more damned expence for nowt.:Angry:

Contact TomTom directly and ask them. I have a 910 which went belly up, they sent a prepaid box for me to send my unit to them. Within a week it was returned repaired and no charge. They did not ask for a receipt etc, but it had been registered with them. Worth a call, the worst they can say is no.

You should have gone to the 12 Volt Electrics Course that was run at a Funster Meet not long ago...

I believe it teaches you how to avoid doing such things... :ROFLMAO:

Like Vic my tom tom 910 went wrong and although it was 4 years old they sent me a new one free of charge. I could not fault their service.
