I am thinking about making a sourdough bread, anyone got any suggestions, thoughts, tips etc.

Its on my list of things to do
hardest requirement seems to be a suitable starting culture.

You might get a starting culture from Annalise @ Jaquesbakescakes in Hinckley.
I know they just moved so maybe internet for contact.

Do you have a go ? I bought a starter from a website and it worked well but it sort of grows and started taking over the fridge!

Found a good compromise was kicking the yeast off the afternoon before with a little flour then getting it going again next day and using it with a but more yeast as my culture
