Still learning since 2010
Can anyone help with advice on cleaning a solar panel fitted to the roof of our MH please.

Not having any info on the panel I was unsure what materials and equipment to use to clean it in case I damage it.
I know that they will be pretty rufty-tufty bits of kit, being as how they are bolted onto a roof and left to the elements, low branches etc, but for piece of mind, will someone please humour me.

12 years.
Rain generally does the trick but always leaves a smear of dust on it until next time. Needless to say in the UK they are all sparkling!

Soapy water and a soft brush does the trick on mine.

since 2006 ( I think ! )
For th epast five years I have used nothing more technical than a bucket of warm soapy water.. usually what is left over from when I wash the car.. it is car shampoo ( some cheapo stuff )

I do however use one on my washing mitts to do the job with as it quickly gets rid of any green build up that may have occured...
They have a fluffy side and a sort of netting on the other side which really cuts through the crap without causing any scratching..

Not long enough, but a little common sense helps..........
I use "Rainex" in the panel and it seams to keep it clean. Every 2/3 months reapply and perfect. Also use it on all the glass and windows around the MH. When it rains just runs like water of a ducks back no streaks or water marks left.
