I'm a newbie
Hi, I've had my motorhome a few weeks now and have noticed that you all name them, I'm not sure what to call mine.
At first I thought it was a 'He' as it puffs up hills , farts about in the mornings and drinks quite a bit but didn't give me any trouble.
But now I think it's a 'She' cos I keep spending money on her, new this, new that, and this week a new TV!

What have you called yours and why?

LHotRy

Ours is called LHotRy, which comes from Little House on the Runway. One of the first trips was to Switzerland to swap over some aircraft parts. The avatar picture is wild camping beside the airfield.

Prolly why I think of ours as Bessie then, so you aren't alone!

But there again my car is always Betsy anyway. I mean successive ones. My BiL always called his car Betsy which must have made some sort of impression I spose.....

Pete doesn't call his vehicles anything but as far as I'm concerned he still owns Wanda (the Honda) and Trixibelle (the Trophy) (without the Fifi)

Bobil

This is (I think) Norwegian for Motorhome, we started calling our van this after going to Bobilcamps on our Scandinavian trip.

I now call mine "Hartwell", because, since I got it it's spent more time with Hartwell Motors, than it has with me.

I call mine "the motorhome" or "[HI]the camper" because that's what it is[/HI].
Incorrect........You drive an A class, how can it be a camper.
Personally I would say that a van conversion with a Pop-up roof counts as a campervan and anything larger, ie hightop and large van conversions, coachbuilt vans and A-class would count as a Motorhome.

I have a large van conversion

which I call, variously, 'the camper' (although WildAx call it a motorhome) or the Blue Ogre, after its reg (OGA).

Hi
Ours is a He! We have an LMC Liberty, Big & Butch and is called 'Marmite', some love him, some hate him.

We love him and the places he takes us.

January he was brave enough to take us along the Romantische Strasse in -25deg, stunning. ❄⛄

We often refer to ours as U-boat as it's several shades grey inside and it's German:RollEyes:
