yes, provided the EHU has the capacity .. so check first.

domestic irons are between 1.6 and 2kw , that's between 7 and 8.5 amps

as with all 230v appliances, check the wattage/current before using and take into account any other 230v things you are using.

Travel irons are about 800 watt, 3.5 amps so are less likely to trip the EHU

This may sound daft, but I once had a paraffin iron, think it was made by Primus. Gave it away when I learned how to fold T shirts and shorts so they don't need ironing.

We also have a travel steam iron (runs on ehu or inverter) and a folding ironing board. Shirley likes ironing things, I keep telling her you can't tell the difference after you've worn it for ten minutes but she doesn't listen.

Am of the belief that you are in the minority. But it dosnt matter, most of us are but with different things.

We have a travel iron.
Its smaller than the domestic version and has a folding handle for storage.
It can be used as a dry or steam iron and does a fair job.
We put a folded wool blanket covered by a cotton pillow case on the main table to use it.
Don't use it often but has been useful when on extended trips when we have needed to look respectable for example a special evening out.

Try Argos
