Got a problem in shower room. Sink very slow draining and think shower tray blocked.
Probably soap scum, tooth paste and hair etc.

Anyone know if using a domestic drain unblocking liquid like Mr Muscle is a problem ?

We use Thetford grey waste freshener poured down sinks to freshen grey waste tank-a by product seems to be that the sinks always drain faster afterwards ::bigsmile:

Have you tried just pouring boiling water down the plug hole? - works on my sink when it slows down

I use Buster Kitchen Plughole & Sink Cleaner on sink, shower and washbasin plugholes after every trip. Lidl and Aldi have it as a special fairly regularly so I stock up then rather than pay normal supermarket prices.

many many years! since I was a kid
never pour boiling water down a plastic sink or shower tray unless you are happy to replace them when they split. even down a stainless steel or enamel sink can be dangerous because the plastic pipes become loose if over hot. a blockage will hold the near boiling water up long enough to cause an issue

All done now.
Bottle of jollop from supermarket, shared between the three plug holes.
Left to stand for an hour, as it was too wet to go outside to the van.
Flushed out with warm water.
Sink empties now with a resounding gurgle.

Thanks folks

Peter
