Good day, I am a British but have lived in South Africa for a number of years,
I have just purchased a motorhome in the Uk for our retirement but am finding it very difficult to get insurance for the van. I'm sure that I am not the first to experience this, can you help with advice on how I can get insurance

Hello and welcome John to the site, i can try and give you a couple of companys that do motorhome insurance as follows,
CARAVAN GUARD
SAFEGUARD
CARAVAN AND CAMPING CLUB
ADRIAN FLUX
SAGA
There are quite a few more as members see this post will proberley tell you, but just google any of these companys for there details, just be carefull if you go to Europe with it as some of the companys include breakdown insurance within there quote for the van insurance although you will also need breakdown and recovery here in the UK and abroad as well anyway. Uk license ?
Have a UK address now ? etc

Motorhome insurance companies are very few in number so you dont have many to ring to get quotes.. If they all decline for the same reason then I dont think you have much choice than to try and address the reason why they wont cover you..

Personally, I would have thought you would have enquired about insurance and prices BEFORE you bought a vehicle.. Most people do...
