Plastic cover Dave....sticks to the back of your door mirror and supposedly protects it from knocks, or ignorant white van man getting too close.

same idea as headlamp covers.

Somebody will make a fortune from them if they stop your mirrors getting knocked off. Must be pretty strong though. If the mirror doesn't give what does....the door ??? :Eeek:.

Ah I see now. Why not make the mirrors like they used to be made...Stronger...Then you would not have to spend money mending something that's not broke. Progress !!!.

Bought a pair last year at NEC. Whilst touring Scotland a delivery van decided to home in on me whilst travelling down a narrow road. I pulled onto the grass to give him plemty of room, but not enough for him. As I stopped his mirror hit mine, thank god for my mirror guard i thought. Not so, it smashed the guard and also my mirror. Maybe there strength comes out if they hit you whilst travelling.
Sorry, no good for me and NOTHING can prevent a strong hit from breaking plastic.

my theory on these is 99% of times you are only going to get one side smacked unless you are really unlucky.

and the £100 and something they charge for these would nearly get you a new mirror.

ducato electric short arm 06 onwards on fleabay from around £70.00
