Can anyone help.
We have had our current van for around 3yrs. What we did not notice until recently is that when the side of the van is in a certain light and you view from the right angle, you can see where large stickers have been advertising the cost of the van and the sun has faded the paintwork.
All our attemps at pollishing so far have failed.
Do we just wait until the sun fades it out.

Actually we were pleased to see what the van had been advertised for and what we paid for it.

Unfortunately that is one of the problems of putting vinyl lettering on vehicles even a few weeks in the sun can cause this, I would have suggested using a rubbing compound such as those made by Farcella used in vehicle body shops in various grades, HOWEVER I notice you have a coachbuilt vehicle so I would be very weary of using any abrasive substance on the coachbuilt areas as the paint is very very thin on these, you might be ok if the sides etc are made of GRP instead of aluminium, If you havn't already it might also be worth trying a polish called SILKY Link Removed

I have always used Auto Gylm paint restorer to bring off these impressions. It is mild and does not harm existing paint or gelcoat.
Over the past few years I have had cause to use it on over 15 motorhomes when I have removed the old graphics to replace with new.
