Well folks house sale completed on 23rd aug. now full timing. Spent week travelling south to folkstone then over on tunnel, me ,Lynn and Tilly to see the French coast. Weather is smashing, we spent a couple of days at st valery en caux and a couple of smaller aires and are now at fecamp it's buzzin as between the 7 and 9th its salon nautique de normandie and trophee du port de fecamp. Tomorrow we set sail once more for who knows where. Ps. Yosser has picked up the lingo a treat. They seem to have picked up on my grammar. I have even given them some driving tips. Mon dieu, they were going around the roundabouts the wrong way. God love them all. Update you soon, although how don't know how much longer I will be speaking the queens anglais, oops pardon x

Well I've tried the French food frogs legs and moules and I did order some snails but had to go to the bog and when I got back the buggers had made a run for it .we have not made it out of France as we are loving it in the north fantastic beaches and towns. Lots more to see not a lot of time left on this occasion. The French certainly know what they are doing when in comes to the motorhome, what is our lovely land missin out on, eh.my only moan is I don't like shitting in a hole in the ground whilst hanging on for dear life as what appears to be a set of lap dancers poles. :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Aug 09 to date 9,000 miles!
My first husband once made a remark to us - in English - whilst we were perusing a menu in quite a posh restaurant in St Laurent de Cognac, immediately he'd asked me "What are these here Cuisses de Grenouilles?" and I'd translated, "Oh I won't order them then. That's the only trouble with frogs' legs, isn't it?" so we all asked , "What?" and he said, deadly serious "Well - they always try to kick your peas off your plate, don't they? Bloody nuisance ..... I hate that."

And not only did we fall about, a minute later after someone at the next table (about 8 people all French) had translated it into French - most of them fell about too.

Instant relaxation all round. Turned out to be a really good night ! :thumb:

Yesterday I was pulled over by the GNR here in Portugal.

A fairly rare event for me and I wondered what they were checking, vehicle papers or ID or tyres etc.

This rather worried looking policeman (despite his shiny boots and gun holster flap open) asked me,

"Are you JJ?"

Now I AM worried... he sensed my hesitation and said,

"You are JJ..."

What on earth was this all about...?

"Is it really true...?" he blurted out nervously,

"Is Yosser Hughes really coming this way?"

I denied everything...
