Not long enough!
Not sure at this time of the year but we've stayed here for a night or three, cheap basic but clean, and wildcamped a couple of nights as well. Don't think you would have any problems finding wildcamping spots but then again it depends on how long for?, we only ever stay one night on a spot then move on:thumb:

PS It is a fab island with some fantastic scenery:thumb:

Hi we have wildcamped and used a site on Skye we never booked it just turned up and got a space, it did fill up later on though. We wildcamped a few nights with no problems once at a pub/hotel as we ate there cant remember the name thought it was close to the road end for the distillery.

Plenty of places on Skye to wild-camp, but I do recommend at least one night at the Sligachan campsite. When the light is right it must be one of the most photogenic sites in the country, and, if you want a break from cooking the nearby Sligachan Hotel does excellent evening meals at reasonable cost.

Wild camp on Skye, go to the head of Loch Slappin on the road to Elgol, surrounded by peaks of mountains, or go to Ord sleep on the side of Loch Slappin further down the loch and watch the otters going up and down the river, then use the toilets and water in the garage in Broadford, there are so many place to park up, so enjoy.:thumb:

Wild and find a site when you need to, plenty of really good spots where you can stop, West coast near Torvaig is great and has fantastic views of the Cullins. :thumb:
