HI Everyone!!

We have an Autotrail Tracker EKS 2007 and the brake lights are always on. When we turn on the ignition the brake lights come on and stay on. We have been told its something to do with a microswitch near the brake pedal. We have been quoted £300 to sort the problem out with a local garage. Before we embark on this expensive repair has anyone else had this problem and know of a better way to deal with it?? Many thanks

HI, with the not to older models it was just to adjust the switch which lays just beside the brake pedal, just follow the brake pedal ,normaly it lays half way up, then adjust it by loosining or tightening the hex nut,s, and have some one at the back to tell you when brake lights go out, i wouuld not pay any one 300 punds for this job, cheers Alf.:thumb:

£300!!!!!!:Eeek:

They are seriously taking the p***!

Get your head in the footwell, glance up the brake pedal arm, you should see a switch up there somewhere. It might need adjusting, or if it is knackered, replacing. It won't cost much!:thumb:
