I have a chausson welcome 17 ,dose anyone know what and why on the controlpanel above the door a light with a G on it comes on when the engine is running.

Hi rusty1,

If it's like my Chausson Flash 03, I think it just means you're using the engine to power your 12v appliances, and charge the leisure battery.

G for generator? (or generateur?)

Does this mean the leisure battery needs replacing as this has only just started happening.

I doubt that the light coming on means you need a new battery. Mine comes on every time, which makes sense as you don't want to leave powering your appliances to the leisure battery alone if you don't have to.

Maybe you normally keep your battery fully charged via hook up? Or maybe you've just noticed it coming on?
